Here comes Love

Another Strigoi was also staking out the Nightingale, it was a very good spot to feed. Aries kept his eyes on the humans, waiting for just the right one to come along. Most were female and he ignored those as well as all the Moroi and dhampirs. Because of his rules, Aries was basically forced to only feed from human males. Obviously they didn't taste as good but the Strigoi had had his fill of all the others long ago.

Seeing a sober man come out of the bar leading a women to her car. Red rimmed eyes stayed locked on the human, his Strigoi side started reacting instantly but he held it in until the precise moment. As soon as the man left the woman's car and started walking down the alley, Aries struck. Fangs bit through the man's neck and both sank to the ground. This time Aries did not hold back or stop, as he had when he was with Tenshi. The man was already dead when Aries finished.

As he stood up, he wiped his mouth off and actually kept his hood down, for it had slid back when Aries had been feeding. Refreshed and glad to have finally had a full meal, Aries saw the other Strigoi. He heard the woman say, "Stupid Dhampirs.", and it was only then that Aries smelt the more appealing body. "You do know that those stupid dhampirs can be very dangerous, right?" His voice was low and almost dangerous but Aries kept it just shy of that. He knew full well that other Strigoi did not follow his rules but it hurt to see them broken right in front of his face.

Aries wondered if the other Strigoi knew what he was, usually other could tell by the cloak or all the weapons the assassins carried. Usually it was the cloak though because most asassins only carried one or no weapon at all, it was only the good ones that carried more. Then again, not all assassins wore cloaks either, some wore coats or jackets with a large hood. Those who had met one before instantly knew when they saw another. Only three of the other assassins though followed the rules he had started though.

Aries smirked, the woman obviously liked the word stupid a lot. "Just thought you should know. Some get careless."

"Not yet..." Aries smirk became a grin, the woman gave her name with a huge grin that spoke volumes. Hey, Aries was up for some flirting anytime. "Aries. Nice to meet you, Nyneve, very nice indeed." The Strigoi came closer to her, she was definately hot and sexy. "What are you doing for the rest of this lovely night?"

"So is yours, it has a sweet sound to it." Aries grinned, but knew that she suddenly remembered the assassins. All Strigoi tech had, even if they were just rumors. Altogether, they had caused a lot of damage in both the Moroi/dhampir world as well as their own but it was nice not to be avoided like usual. Aries let it go though, tonight he wanted to have some fun.

"I am actually just enjoying the night. It is nice not to have anything to do every once in a while." The Strigoi said, meaning every word that he had just said. He wasn't on a mission and he rarely got to spend any time in Russia unless it was to see the Master. Though he still needed to do that, he was putting it off and he was now very glad he had.

Aries bowed slightly as he took her right hand and held it up to his lips and kissed it lightly. Then he held his arm in just the right manner for Nyneve to link her arm with his. It was the gentleman thing to do. "Wherever you wish to go, m' lady. The night is still young and we can do whatever we wish."

Aries nodded, not really commenting on what the other Strigoi was saying. He was definately listening but he felt like a nod beat any replies he might had had to her first few comments. It must be really nice not to be tied to anyone. Aries did not voice that though. But he suddenly did have something to say, "I am rarely home, usually I'm always moving around. It's nice though not to be stuck in one place."

Yea, moving around to do missions, to kill people that the Master thought should die. Aries kept his face blank but inside he flinched, spending time with Tenshi had done wonders for him already but no other Strigoi would think so. Aries laughed lightly, the first true laugh he had had in years. "Why thank you, ma'am." He was actually glad to be among Strigoi again for once, he didn't have to fight himself all the time. So he showed his fangs when he talked and especially when he smiled.

Aries said nothing about going hunting again, personally he did not want to. If they decided to, it would only bring about the fact that he was even more different then other Strigoi. Maybe that was why he was even accepting Tenshi's offer. "I am fine with just walking, if that is ok with you. As far as what I am doing here, I am here to see a couple people over the next few nights. I got here early so I could gather my strength. Where do you live, if I may ask?"

And that was exactly why Aries did not stay in one place for long. Assassins couldn't, especially if they were as well known as he was. To stay in one place for longer then what a mission required was putting yourself on a silver platter for those countless enemies you had. He was going to say something but what he was thinking did not come out of his mouth, "My life is a lonely one, not many people want to talk with a well known assassin..."

Aries had trailed off but got back on track when Nyneve laughed, "I'd like to see you try." His eyes roamed down along her body as he said the words, man it had been too long. When she looked up at the sky, Aries kept his eyes on her face, she was... mesmerizing.

The Strigoi found himself laughing again, not worried a bit about the fang showing. They both were Strigoi after all. Cursed and evil creatures of the night. Or so he thought anyway. "It all depends on what happens at my meetings about how long they will take. Most usually take only a couple hours unless I want to talk a little bit with friends but this one might be a little different." Aries hoped he wouldn't have to explain that part of it.

"My house is actually in America, I only come to Russia for business. Which is why I'm out an dabout now." Aries smiled, he was enjoying himself. He usually didn't get to have this much fun ever.

Aries chuckled, his eyes always on her face unless they roamed downward to dangerous places. "Well I for one am glad that you are not most people, m'lady. That is good though that you stay out of other people's business, some are more dangerous then others." The taller Strigoi suddenly did not want naything to happen to Nyneve. Though he doubted it would, the Master did not mind his assassins getting close to other Strigoi. But he kept them all busy enough not to have a social life, easier to keep them all under his control that way.

"I would never kick your butt, Nyneve, unless you wanted me to..." He grinned and moved slightly in a suggestive way. But Aries did not want to push the subject, so he dropped it. "I was a guardian."

Aries smiled again, "I might just have to take you up on that offer." He would like to see Nyneve more.

"I completely understand that." The Strigoi stated as the two continued their walk. Again, he chuckled as Nyneve said that she made it a point to know the business of men. "Oh really? Well, what do you want to know, m'lady? Ask and I will tell."

He could tell that she was definately putting on her own charm, they both were. It was good just to flirt, maybe go past that, hopefully for him, but he wanted to be a gentleman tonight. But his smiles vanished as Nyneve said that he could be her guardian. He looked away for the first time since he had laid eyes on her, "I am no longer a guardian, I am an assassin. I cannot be both." Sorrow and grief entered his dhampir side, being an assassin was literally the closest thing a Strigoi could get to being a guardian. That was why all the assassins were former guardians. Even though all but three of his fellow assassins loved being Strigoi, they all still held onto those small pieces of the job that were guardian-like.

But tonight was supposed to be fun, as Aries shoved all of that to the back of his mind and looked back at Nyneve. Aries was not concerned about how the usual Strigoi relationships usually turned out. If they did get closer to that point, Aries knew that he just different enough that they could make it work, even if she was like every other Strigoi. But he got the feeling that she wasn't either. His grin returned as he looked Nyneve in her breath taking eyes, "How do you propse to do that?" It was probably just a number but the number wasn't what mattered, not really.
