Aries shook his head, "Never heard of them. They must be young." Aries paused for a second and confusion slightly entered his face, as much as a Strigoi face would allow. "Queen Tatiana? That can't be right..." Most of his missions lately had been far away from court and he hadn't been caught up on what was going on in the Moroi world. The Master certainly hadn't told him anything.
Aries nodded, seeing no need to talk more then neccessary, he had already talked more then he ever had in over six months. He was content to let Tenshi talk and he had run out of questions for now. Wait, he just thought of one. "Why are you here?" He asked again, Tneshi had avoided the question the first time.

Tenshi shrugged. He did not have an answer on their newness, so to speak. He scratched his head. Who was Queen Tatiana? "Queen Tatiana isn't queen anymore... Lissa Dragomir is..." The guy was a Strigoi. He probably did not read the local Moroi newspapers much or something. "Didn't I already say this? Well, I had heard of some Strigoi attacking humans. I found them and you by extension. Which reminds me, if this town has so many Strigoi, I may have to play exterminator. Well, maybe not, but if they keep attacking humans, they're going down."

"About time a Dragomir took the throne..." Aries said more to himself then to Tenshi. Though techniqually, he shouldn't even be worried about it. After all, he was a Strigoi, it had been 21 years basically since he had been a dhampire. That thought caused another bit of rage to go through him but all he did was get very stiff and still, his hands clenched involuntary.
When it passed, Aries relaxed again, only for it to happen again when he thought about it. He hated being angry all the time. Aries wanted peace and he could never get that as a Strigoi. Only half paying attention to Tenshi, he replied, "I forgot that you told me already. I sort of black out almost when I get as mad as what you saw. I forget certain things until I'm reminded of them later on."
"No. This needs to be taken straight to the Master and he might say that this is serious enough for a few of the assassins to join together to take all of them out. If you try to take them all on, you'll end up with an even bigger target on your back." In a more ways then one, Aries was lightly warning Tenshi about what could happen if certain things took place.
Finally, Aries had to ask the question that he had been hoping for the answer for twenty years. The assassin looked pointedly away from the Moroi, "Is... is there a way to....get rid of all of this anger and rage? All of this uncontrollable violence?" Aries looked straight into Tenshi's eyes, his expression unreadable.

Tenshi's eyebrow arched. Huh, he must have guarded a Dragomir in his time. Tenshi just nodded. He understood that kind of rage pretty well himself. He arched another eyebrow at Aries. "Uh huh, bigger target? How big? Like I'm going to be hunted by every Strigoi on the planet big? I don't think I can survive that." He sighed when he heard Aries's question. "I... am coming up with an experimental process involving my compulsion abilities... since I don't feel depression when using them... It could... curb your aggression and bloodlust. Unfortunately, you would still be a Strigoi in body but your mind would be clear."

One of Aries' rules was not to lie, he wished he could now when he spoke to Tenshi. "If the Master thinks you cause enough trouble, he will not hesitate to send assassins after you." Aries visibly flinched, "He would send me to kill you as well as three other assassins to make sure I complete the work..." The Strigoi bowed his head as the memories of the last time that had happened. The Master had only sent one with Aries that time and Aries almost turned on his fellow assassin to protect the Moroi he had become friends with. But then out of nowhere, other assissins showed up and beat him down, forcing him to finish the job. The Master had been furious with him and punished him severely afterwards.
Aries was on the verge of losing it again but he took a few deep breaths. The only reason he had survived was literally because he was the best and to lose him would seriously crippled the Master's plans, whatever they were. He paid attention to Tenshi's words, "So I would still be an outcast. Not accepted by anyone..."

Tenshi simply nodded. This Master guy meant business. "That COULD be used to our advantage later." He pretty much figured that the guy would send his best man. He saw that Aries was losing it again. Well, it was to be expected. "Easy, my man." Tenshi gave a sympathetic smile. "Aw, come on, man. I'd accept you. Besides, would you rather be a pawn or an outcast with at least one friend and a clear mind? Obviously, you would have to meet the Queen."

"How can that be used to our advantage?!" Aries yelled, anger dripping from his voice. This was quickly becoming dangerous for Tenshi, all the anger that Aries had been holding back for the past couple days was suddenly surfacing. It was always like that after missions, he had to remain perfectly calm in order to focus. Then it basically exploded as soon as the mission was complete but he was usually not in the company of a Moroi when it happened.
If he was honest with himself, Aries took his rage out on his food before and after a mission. "Sorry, I am trying..." Tenshi caused him to laugh, the anger suddenly gone but the laugh held no warmth. "That is very good to know. It would be good to be a dhampir again..." The Strigoi trailed off for a couple seconds, thinking about what that would actually mean. He would be free. "What would she do to me though?"

Tenshi raised his hands in calming. "Easy, easy, it could help with your escape. We take out the assassins, and you and I get out of there." He wondered if it was like this all the time as a Strigoi. It probably was. "I don't recall making a joke in that sentence... ah well." He shrugged. The door's knob turned. "Oh, come on!" He pointed his revolver at the door. A Strigoi burst through, and Tenshi shot his head off. "Uh, she'd probably just have a look at you. She asked to see any potential candidates. I'm the only one who knows how to do this."

The Strigoi calmed almost completely down with Tenshi's help, though he hid his suprise. Man, it had been too long since he had just had someone to really talk to. Aries was used to people always fighting him or running away. "It will not be easy to t..." Aries watched once again as Tenshi blew off another Strigoi's head.
Aries suddenly grabbed his cloak from the dresser, bent down to the body, and soaked it in blood. Hiding his disgust, the assassin put on his beloved cloak once more, hating the feeling as the blood started seeping into his old guardian clothes and on his bare skin. Then the Strigoi allowed all the anger that had built up to explode, he stepped just outside the door and stared every Strigoi he could see down. Aries fangs flashed the rage once more on his voice, "The Moroi is MINE! If any of you come a single step closer, you will join your creators."
A couple of them were stupid enough to come closer, too tranfixed on the delicacy inside the room. Aries killed them easily, making a show of their deaths so that the others wouldn't think of coming back. It was time these young Strigoi learned who the assassins were. The rest of them backed off and started to almost panic. Aries sealed the deal with a feral sound that only a Strigoi could make and snapped his fangs loudly.
Then he came back inside but not before taking off his drenched cloak, the disgust plain on his face. This time, he opened the bathroom door and dropped it straight into the tub. He quickly washed off the blood on his hands and face and got one of the towels before rejoining Tenshi. "Well that was fun!"
Trying to find out what he had been saying before, Aries ran back over what else Tenshi had said. His red eyes narrowed as he took several steps away from his so called friend. "Potential candidate, huh?"

Tenshi almost chuckled at the feral showing from Aries. It must stink to be like this. "I bet. You sounded very intimidating. By the way, I don't mind killing anything else that walks in. I'm not weak." Aries was acting like a really feral Guardian. Tenshi felt that the only Guardian he would have picked would have been Tenshi. He could tell the word "candidate" did not sit well with Aries. That was understandable. "Well, this is an experimental process, and you would be the first to even try. Would you rather me say volunteer? Trust me, I can only do this if the 'volunteer' wants to. "

Ignoring the rest of what Tenshi said, Aries stood very still as he looked at Tenshi. "So, in other words, your just looking for a candidate to use as a guinea pig and I fit the bill. Just great." Aries wasn't angry or even annoyed, but the Strigoi just did not want to be anywhere near Tenshi at the moment.
Suddenly acting very curt and professional, Aries replied to the earlier comment, "I know you can but you can't just kill all of these Strigoi. I might be an assassin but I don't go around just killing things. Plus the more you kill, the more of a chance the Master will find out about you and that cannot happen."
The Strigoi went back into the bathroom, calling over his shoulder, "The sun is about to rise, you should get some sleep." Then Aries closed the door and turned on the water in the tub to start cleaning off his blood-soaked cloak. Aries didn't want to talk anymore but he suddenly had more to think about then he had had in over twenty years.

Tenshi shook his head. Aries was ignoring him. "No, you wouldn't be a guinea pig. As I said, I can't force you to do anything you don't want to do. If I forced you, it may make your anger as a Strigoi worse." He shrugged. "He must be really powerful. I doubt any of the assassins he sends, minus you, would pose a threat. You, however, would probably kill me or at least make me lose a limb." Tenshi thought for a second. "I'm still running on Japan time. Besides, I can go a day without sleeping. I need to go start a job anyway."

Of course Tenshi kept talking, though Aries couldn't really blame him, they both were the type who would keep going no matter what, in anything. Which right now, meant talking. And naturally with his heightened hearing, even with the water running and the door closed, the Strigoi could easily hear what his friend was saying. Sighing, Aries opened the door but went back to the tub. He couldn't allow the blood to dry up or he'd never get it out.
Without meeting Tenshi's eyes, Aries said quietly, "I will think about it. Are there others? Are the rumors true?" He paused, allowing Tenshi some time to think about his answer before continuing, "There are only two other assassins that are almost equal to me. One might be willing to try this as well. Before I decide, I would like to bring it up to him." Finally looking at him, a small smile revealed itself, "Japan? You've got to be kidding me. What job, maybe I can help? And I'm kinda stuck here until the night comes again. But if you wish to take off, I'd wait until daylight at least. Up to you, you are welcome to stay if you wish as well."

Tenshi sighed. He hoped there were others. However, he had not seen any. "Hopefully there are. I haven't been looking for long, though. I'd assume there are SOME Strigoi with free will." He raised his eyebrow quizzically. "Sounds like quite the party. However, I think you got a leg up on them in the info department. They don't know that I carry explosives. Most Strigoi are bullet sponges; so it makes it easier for me to line up a shot. I doubt your friends would be that easy." Tenshi chuckled. It had been a while since anyone had been his partner on a mission. He believed the last one used to be an English longbow specialist. "Why not? Sounds like a party, man. Yeah, I used to be a samurai. Remember, I'm over five hundred. Why the heck do you think I use a katana? Sure, I'll stay, but all I'd be doing is standing in the corner cleaning my sword. Like I said, my sleep in America is always whacked out. Oh, right, the mission, we gotta assassinate an old associate of my client's, a Mr. Redmond. The guy's well protected, but a little distraction by me, and he's easy pickings. I'd like to shadow the guy first. My clients are never the most respectable types; so I may end up killing my clients and taking my payment. It happens."

"It's not exactly free will as it is about knowing that what you are is wrong." Aries said quietly, knowing full well that he was evil, he was a Strigoi after all. He killed for his food and killed for the fun of it, even if he was ordered to kill certain people. Even the dhampir side enjoyed that part.
Aries suddenly looked very serious, "I will not. I will go against the master if he finds out about you, Tenshi. For you have given me something that T=the Master never can, hope."
"Oh yea, you really don't look like your age, you know." A full out grin broke accross his face and a light came into his eyes, "That sounds like my kind of mission. That is usually how I do my own. It's better that way, safer for someone like me." Aries glanced at the window, looking for any show of light. He had tried his best but the dark cloth would still show light. Aries always had to be very careful where he was at exactly when the sun rose. The Strigoi turned back to his cloak, glad that almost all of the blood had now washed down the drain.
