Dreams - Adrian

[Anya Kandice (Ozera)]

She tried to get out of the nightmare she was having. Strogoi and uncontrolled powers were something she didn't like in real life and she certainly didn't want to dream about them. Anya Kandice secretly Ozera tried not to scream and all as she relived the horrible attack brought on Strogoi she had left a week after that but that still didn't mean she could ever forget about it. Her being so young and not having to have dealt with it did not help matters.

Suddenoly though as she was dreaming, that nightmare fell away replaced by what she really didn't know but she was somewhere, somewhere she either couldn't or didn't recognize. "He-Hello?" she stammered.

Adrian was in his room sitting cross legged on the floor. His eyes were closed and he was concentrating very hard. It was always harder to dream-walk with someone you had only heard of for the first time. But the Moroi had done it before, plus this person was a Spirit user he had heard of.

He decided to make the dream a dorm room from the Academy, maybe the girl wouldn't freak as much if she was in familiar settings. Then he saw her. Adrian knew he had the right girl from the blazing sun of this girl's arua, as well as the darkness around the edges. It was like day and night were clashing right in front of his eyes. Lissa's arua had become like that once the bond between her and Rose had snapped. "Don't be afraid. My name is Adrian Ivashcov and I am a Spirit user. I thought this would be a good first meeting beings I am here at Court. What is your name?"

"Adrian...Y-You know me...it's Anya...although I haven't really been around people much since Rose and Lissa left...but that's another story too..." she had almost thought she forgotten him but people like him and people in general were hard to forget. "How-How on earth did you find me?" she asked as she wanted to know. They hadn't really spoken she had walked along side him in silence sometimes, she did have to admit she liked him but she had never tried anything romantic with anyone.

She forgot for a moment than said. "I'm...not...in court anymore...I was but...I'll be back" she admitted.

"Oh yea, sorry. My mind had been a little clouded lately..." Adrian said, trying to be as 'nice' as he could about the fact that he'd been drunk enough to pass out every night for the past couple weeks. He had kept running into Rose and the whole Spirit thing had been getting to him.

"Lissa told me you wanted to talk to me. She didn't mention your name though, but she was kinda distracted at the time too." The Moroi explained, he had hoped he wasn't going to scare Anya.

Anya smiled. "the fourth person to know my secret, I guess the more close friends that know the better....but that's another story, I actually should tell you the cliff's notes version of who I am...my name is Anya Ozera....yes I'm, the daughter of Tasha Ozera she unfortunately gave me up or ran from me or whatever the deal happens to be it's okay she's dead to me the Academy is my parent in more literal sense than not, I can cast illusions, I can also shield this is how I've been pretending I've been a Dhampire since I was about eight years old"

She paused to take a breath. "I want to learn dream walking....if you can teach me...and in return I will teach you to Shield and do illusion and hopefully later on projection...unless you might be one of those Moroi that can channel in which case that'd be awsome"

Adrian listened, kinda going in and out, he wasn't trying to be rude but it was hard to use this much Spirit when you haven't used it in a while. "Ah, I see. Your Christian's cousin then. Does he know you have Spirit?" He took a drag of his cigarette, blowing it away from Anya.

"So, your already a part of the revolution my great aunt started. Nice but how come you didn't just join with other Moroi? It's not like Spirit is a secret now." Adrian laughed even though there was nothing funny at all going on. Already the effects were coming on. Great.

Adrian sighed, "Why do you want to learn dream-walking?" He wanted to hear why Anya wanted to learn so bad.

"I haven't seen Christian in the longest time....not since he and Vasalissa graduated...I have left him messages and he has left some back on my phone but again, we've been playing phone tag for an age...email seems to work better but we talk about the mundane not the magical" She nodded at his next comment. "not a secret now...being the key words here it was a secret back then...I was only eight years old when my powers came into me...and there was no such thing as a revolution when I was younger and by the time it wasn't a secret anymore I was too much in well...we like to say deep crap to tell anyone"

Although this was not a power well known to any spirit users and this was a power that she was just learning going from illusion to projection, Anya decided to give it a go. Closing her eyes she eased Adrian's effects, she couldn't take it or the connection would break but she could ease it so that it would be less pain on him.

She turned back to him at his question and said. "I have several reasons on why I want to learn, trust me I think me learning dream walking would be for the betterment of all those around me"
