Sparring (Rose)

Having a guardian who actually did graduate from the darn school was going to be definitely a boost to her. Anya was back in court again, she seemed to be going back and forth every other week but she didn't really care. It was a sunday and she hoped to the Goddess that she could get some break only to remember that Rose Hathaway, one of her best friends was going to meet her for some lunch and sparring. Apparently the girl had the day off which was good.

Coming to her room from the airport she dumped the stuff on her bed, literally and just went out and walked around hoping Rose would find her easier this way. The incident that happened the last week she was in court...actually two weeks ago, she really did not feel like recalling.

Rose was greatful that she was allowed the day off, but at the same time she couldn't help but worry. Would Lissa be alright without her? Rose sighed, and walked around the airport waiting to find Anya for lunch. They had made plans to grab a bite to eat and spar a little bit. Hopefully they could digest first, Rose hated fighting on a full stomach, it wasn't really good for you.

After walking a bit Rose's eyes fell on what appeared to be a dhampir woman. Rose walked closer to the figure, and tapped her on her shoulder. "Hey!" she said, "You ready to get a bite to eat?" Rose asked, 'I know I am.' Granted, Rose was always hungry, it was still polite to ask. "Where do you want to go?"[/b]

"Guardian Hathaway" she greeted her with a smile. She knew Rose was only a year older than her but as it was that she was a guardian and Anya herself was still in school, unfortunately it was still polite to call her it. She had no problem with formalities or being polite for that matter. "of course" she said as she looked up at her.

She wondered what she did want to eat. All she had all day was a can of diet coke and she knew that would not sustain her to spar, that would be a losing battle so she had to find something to eat. "how about we eat fast food...I dunno, or whatever you guys got going here...I always packed my lunch if I could help it....and...I don't really know what else is here other than that coffee shop" she admitted. She had been here for years but she had stuck to the places she know which explained why she knew so little.

Rose nodded in responce to what Anya was saying. But the more she thought about it, the more she realized she'd have to go light on the food intake if they were to go to a place like McDonlads. "Fast food? Normally I'd say hell yes, but since we're about to spar that may have to wait till later. Do you like subs?" She asked Rose was pretty sure there was a sub shop around here somewhere. It would be light on their stomachs and thats while eating a whole foot long sub plus chips.

Rose hated being the one to turn down good food, this must be what it feels like to have to be the party pooper all the time huh? she thought realizing what her superiors had to deal with while she was in training. Then she remembered how she felt each time they said "no" "Oh you know what, screw it, lets go find a Mickey D's or something."[/b]

She smiled at Rose and nodded and walked with her. She'd let Rose take the lead because she was older, and because she was not likely to get lost. It was one thing to visit here every summer, but it was another thing to live here. She thought that living in court might give Rose more of an idea where to go rather than just wandering aimlessly. As they walked, she had to ask. "How have you and Queen Vasalissa been?" she asked.

She wouldn't tell Rose or anyone for that matter what was happening with her step sister how the girl managed to find her was anyone's guess but she was not about to allow that to hinder her again. She already had the unfortunate misfortune of having to explain herself to Guardian Petrov about the attempted drowning fest that took place between the two of them two weeks ago.
