Amelia was invited to her cousin's wedding, they were finally tying the knot. Amelia was the photographer. She was just thrilled about being there taking pictures. She couldn't wait for it to be over, so she could go out and have fun in Las Vegas. Her cousin rented out a Ball room in a hotel for her wedding. Amelia guess that her cousin married a rich boy. Amelia never got invites to anything unless it was to take pictures. She didn't do anything for free, of course. She wasn't that stupid, it was $200 for just the wedding and another hundred if they wanted the reception, too. She ripped her family off, but they didn't do much for her. She had student loans to pay, and they were starting to stack up. So she got money from taking her pictures she would. Her family was more then happy to pay her $300 for taking pictures of their wedding, they also payed for her room.
The wedding finally ended and so did the reception. The night was still young so Amelia went out to gamble a little. She wanted to try her luck at blackjack. Amelia walked over to the closest blackjack table and sat down. She nodded to the dealer, he started to deal. She won 3 rounds and lost 4, when she lost the last time she decided she was done. She went to the bar and ordered a Cosmos, and paid. She went to a table and just sat down, and people watched while drinking her cosmos.

The night had just begun and Aries yanwed loudly as he got up. He had spent the past couple nights staking out on his current target. A specific guardian that had been causing the Master much grief. This was a mission that required time and patience, both of which Aries had had years of perfecting. The next couple nights were what he liked to call the crucial ones.
He finally got to start some action tonight. He got dressed and garbed on his black cloak. He made sure all of his weapons were where they were supposed to be and ready for action. This mission was going to require more then his hands and fangs. Once he was satisfied with everything, Aries walked into the night, his cape flapping behind him like the wings of the demon that he often thought he was but didn't want to be.
The sound of music caught his attention though and he found himself watching human women play blackjack. Her scent reminded him of his girlfriend, who had been human. The jolt of it made him suddenly forget his mission completely. Pain entered his mind and without even knowing it Aries found himself sitting accross from the human. He stared at her from under his hood.
He suddenly was aware of the fact that he probably looked dangerous and the fact that the women might be afraid. So he said in as soft as voice as any Strigoi could manage, "Don't be afraid. You just reminded me of someone I have not seen in years... Please, tell me your name?" Aries knew he was playing a very dangerous game right now but the memories would not allow anything different.

Amelia watched as some guy sat down at her table. She wondered who he was and what he was doing there in front of her. She was ready to call security to escort him away from her. She wasn't looking for company, but something inside of her told her that he wouldn't leave and that he was more dangerous then she thought he was. She looked at him in a sort of awe, she had never seen anything like him. She wanted to take his picture, but her camera was full from the wedding pictures.
Amelia looked at him like he was nuts, why would she tell her real name to some stranger who started talking to her. Why did she have to tell him anything about her. In the back of her mind she was thinking 'It would be the polite thing to do.' She wasn't reasoning polite, her mind was reasoning in the look of the guy. She couldn't see his face, he had it hid behind a hood. She didn't know if she wanted to see his face.
"My name is Amelia Willson."She looked at the man and asked "May i know your name, since you know mine" she was polite about it, she wasn't demanding. She didn't think she knew this man. He didn't sound like anyone she knew. Amelia looked around to see if there was anyone else like him in the area, there wasn't. She did notice a man who was taller than most in the casino area, but she didn't think him to be important. She turned her attention back to the man that was in front of her. He scared her but he also intrigued her.

Aries could smell the girl's rising fear but also curiosity. This suprised Aries into giving a shadow of a smile. It was also very obvious that the girl could not see his eyes, which was very good because she would have screamed and attracted enough attention that he would have had to kill her and he was just not going to do that.
He listened as she said that her name was Amelia Wilson and he nodded. Though he stiffened when she politely asked for his name. He automatically gave the false name that he used, "My name is David Smith. Thank you for telling me your name, Miss Wilson. I know it must have seen a little wierd." Aries scanned the room again, his eyes lingered on the tall man but then registered him an harmless. The man was human, of course they were all harmless.

Amelia smiled and said "It is a little weird, but i guess i just have that face" she smiled, and looked at him. "Well Mr. Smith" she started "Is there anything else i can help you with?" It wasn't like she was in a hurry or something, she just wanted to know more about him or what he was doing in a place like this, but she wasn't going to ask. It wasn't her place to know, but she really wanted to take his picture, but didn't have anymore film on her. The rest of it was in her suite.
She looked at him and something was really amiss about him, or maybe it was her drink that was making her think something was amiss. She had 2 Cosmos, since she walked through the door. She didn't drink all that often, but she wanted to, she knew that she wouldn't get completely drunk after all she was only there for the wedding then she was heading home to develop the pictures then send them the prints, and what ever ones they wanted to print out she would, and then they would get the rest on a CD for the computer.

"That is a good thing, I can assure you." Aries said, an actual smile coming to his lips. He was careful to hide his fangs for his mouth was still visible from his cloak hood. He shook his head slightly as Amelia's voice rang sweet and oh so like his past girlfriend. There was of course major differences but he would have given anything to be with his girlfriend again but of course that was now impossible.
Aries was seizing the moment so to speak. "Nothing that I can think, Miss Wilson." The Strigoi stood up from the table, walked around to her side, and very softly, took one of her small hands in one of his. Aries bent while raising her hand to his lips where he lightly kissed the top of her hand. "It was a complete pleasure to meet you, Miss Wilson. I hope we have the chance to speak again. Have a good night." The Strigoi started walking away, hating the fact that he had to go so agonizingly slow.
He was now off of his carefully planned attack. He had to make up time and make sure that that guardian he was after was still in the area. But even as he was walking away, Aries almost hoped that Amelia Wilson would call him back. The Strigoi bit back a hiss, now was not the time to get side tracked.

Amelia really didn't want him to leave, but she couldn't think of a reason for him to stay. For someone she just met he was a real nice guy, or well in her mind he was, but that was because she didn't know what he really was, and she wouldn't know either. "Thank you" she said with a small smile, "the pleasure was all mine." she was being just as polite as he was. "Well i'll only be in town for a few more days" she informed him as he walked off. She watched him leave, she wanted to call him back so bad, but she didn't know if she could, or if that would be weird.
Amelia thought that it would be weird, and she didn't know what they would talk about, but she called him back anyways. "David!" she called getting up to walk after him, she was getting her purse as said said "Wait" She didn't know why she called him back, there was things about him that made her hair stand on end, maybe thats why she wanted to talk to him again, to get to know him, but most guys weren't interested in things like that, but he didn't strike her as being normal.

The Strigoi smiled as soon as he heard his false name ring out from Amelia's table. He turned around, slightly too fast though. The turn was like a dhampir turn but even that was faster then any normal human could turn. Oops, oh well, it wasn't like Aries couldn't handle himself. He tugged on his hood, a habit he had picked up over the years when he was around basically prey and he moved too quickly. Not that Amelia was ever going to end up being his prey, oh no, he wouldn't dream of breaking his rules so easily.
"Yes, Miss. Wilson?" Aries patiently waited for her to catch up. Even with human slowness, he was already halfway accross the casino. So much for his mission, the guardian would still be there though, so he guessed he could still wait another night.
