[Dani Ivashkov]

Dani put her head phones in her ears, and walked towards where she was to have practice, that she rescheduled because she had a run in with the queen or well she really ran into Dimitri. She still couldn't get over it, yet. She was still in shock 2 days later from actually talking to the queen. She took her time getting to the practice area, she didn't want to get there to early. She was eager to learn, but she wasn't eager to get her butt kicked, by some of the guardians.

Dani smiled when she reached the area where they were supposed to meet up. She found a note with her name on it, so she opened it up and it read;

Dani
Sorry we can't make it, our times got changed. Sorry we will practice later. Don't worry we know you are itching to get started for this summer. Take the day off and hang out with friends.
Guardian Tanner

Dani sighed and placed the note in her messenger bag she had from when she went on her rounds with Tenshi. "Well it looks like i'll be running, or fighting Dummies" she said with a laugh on her face. She changed from jeans and a tank top that had 'Blame it on the weather' on it, into black basketball shorts, and a plain black tank top. She grabbed her bottle of water and walked out into the area, and sighed. Dani left her earphones in and ran around the area, no one but her was there so she didn't feel the need to run without her head phones.

Anya was power walking today. She had her hair down, it was cool enough. She knew that she was able to escape training today, all she had to do was power walk and run occasionally and check in. She still wanted a stake but she would deal with that when she came to that. She closed her eyes as she looked around until she opened her eyes again. She was walking behind a girl she was sure she knew, they were good friends and a smile crossed over her face as she realized this would be a good time to catch up.

Going behind the girl she tapped her on the shoulders, it didn't look like she was going to be heard, she wasn't quite sure but Anya was pretty positive that she was listening to music, not that she was doing any better as she was watching movies on her cellphone or rather hearing them.

Dani was enjoying her run very much. It was one of the things that Dani could do on her own. She slowed her run to a jog, and she felt someone tap her on the shoulder. She took her headphones out, and smiled. It was Anya, she knew her from school. “Hey Anya” she said with a smile on her face. “What brings you out here?” she asked with a smile on her face. She stopped jogging, and pulled her music player out, and turned it off. She didn’t see the sense if she had someone to talk to.

She didn’t like the sound of her own footsteps on the pavement, it made her feel more alone then she really was. She wasn’t alone with Anya around, for that she was glad. She didn’t like being alone, because that left her with her thoughts and feelings, and Dani didn’t like to deal with those, all too often. Dani waited for a reply from her, with a smile on her face.

"perfectly all right, I'm still sore from that little training fest yesturday" she said. She had just gotten back from meeting the Strogoi and ex guardian and although she would never tell anyone she felt reenergized somehow. "How've you been...I'm just running...and jogging...and well being bored but hey, glad to see your here maybe you could keep me company" she said as she took her phone and turned off the movie that could wait.

"Have you seen anyone else so far? I saw the queen and...er...lets see...I was SURE I saw some guardians from school and now you...and of course my own mentor Celeste....we just got here yesturday" she explained as she bent backwards and laughed. "This is fun, well it'll be fun until I fall flat on my butt but that's another story too" she said still laughing.

Dani smiled at her and said "I've been here since the beginning of the summer, its so boring. The only interesting thing that happened to me was i got my nails done, with the Queen" she said with a smile it was the most exciting thing she had done since she got there. "the only reason that happened was because i ran into Guardian Belikov. I felt like such an idiot." she said with a laugh. Dani was glad that she finally had someone to talk to other than the guardians. "Then of course i was paraded around by my mother, you know Lady Camille Ivashkov. I swear she is like the biggest pain i have ever had." Dani said with a smile.

"Oh i just been running and practicing, mostly" she informed her. "A few parties of my mom's, but nothing real exciting." She looked at Anya and smiled. "I hear rumors of more students comming in to the court this summer, but i dont know why." She said remembering Tenshi. "Oh yea i also met a Moroi who could fight, like he fought openly, he didn't hide it, like some do. He made a job out of it. He was awesome. His name is Tenshi, i can't say his last name but he is like old, really old" she said with a smile on her face.

"I spoke to the queen once about something but other than that...that's really it...I have been doing much but nothing really that productive I have no clue i'm contradicting myself and i'm doing nothing but confusing myself" she smiled as she looked at Dani and said. "You know...since it's no one but us maybe you and I can hang or train or whatever...It'd be good"

She looked up at Dani and than looked down at herself. The events of the night leading up to the morning still played in her mind Aries, the dead guardian and she found herself wondering why on earth would she have given him something to track her did she have a death wish?

Dani smiled and said "we can hang out, or train, either or" she looked at her watch, on her wrist. It was a good way to keep track of time while she was at court, and she didn't have to keep taking out her phone to get the time. "All i have to do is meet my mom at some party later, but its nothing big, i can show up late" she said with a smile on her face. "And well if i show up with some bruises thats find with me" She didn't mind the physical contact, some days she lived for it. Today was just an eh day she didn't care if she fought or not.

Dani was glad that someone had finally showed up to talk to her, because she would have kept running most of the day. She didn't mind the running, she actually enjoyed it, because it gave her time alone, even if she didn't care to be alone. Dani smiled at Anya, and said "Its up to you what you want to do." Dani didn't care what they did, she was up for anything.

"lets just jog around and chat, you can keep up with me or...scratch, lets hope I can keep up with you is the better word, word going around is that you can probably outrun half the guardians in this joint but that's another story too" she said as she looked up at her. She sighed as she looked up at the sky and than down at the ground. She started to jog and talk at the same time. "So, what other news have you got for me...it's been a few since we've seen each other...I mean something interesting has to be happening"

She would bring her stuff up later, if they ever got to it. She liked to talk to people about their lives without revealing too much about herself. She was a secret-keeper not that it was always healthy but oh well, most of the things she chose to do went under the category of unhealthy anyhow.
