The punishment needs to fit the crime - Alberta

She was not thirlled at having done what she did. She had been so ticked, her sister had found a way to harrass her again, scratch her step sister. She had appeared to her in court and the two of them had an altercation that had not went well at all and she had ended up fighting the girl. She was a Dhampire by illusion and had learned to fight, all her sister had was water magic and she hadtried to use it to drown Anya well, that had not ended well, Anya reacting on emotions and not thinking ahd thrown the girl in the water herself and had kept her under there until her sister fought her way out of it. The incident had nearly killed them both and she had no idea how Alberta had found out about it only she had.

She knew most people would have been expelled period but she wasn't really normal and she certainly was not most people. she knocked on Alberta's door she had told her to meet her here today shewas afraid but glad for the punishment. "Guardian Petrov...you wanted to see me?" she asked opening the door.

Alberta's sitting at her desk, looking over some files when Anya knocks and opens the door. "Come in Anya" she said as she closed the files and sets them off to the side of her. She motions for Anya to sit in the chair across from her own and waits to see if Anya wants to explain herself first.

"She was my step sister....we share the same father, different mothers" she started as she closed her eyes. "She came to court somehow or other...and....we had a scuffle...she blamed me for leaving her alone at home with her parents....only...I left because I couldn't fight anymore...I was eight years old what the heck was I supposed to do?" she asked as she shrugged. "she used her water magic to try and drown me....well, I fought her back trying to drown her....i don't know how you found out but apparently you have and I already trust me...have been punished for that"

She would not tell the older guardian that she had nearly cut herself to death.

She just looked at the older girl for a moment before speaking. "and what makes you think that trying to drown her back was the answer to solve the problem? And what do you mean you have already been punished." she nearly glares at the girl to get the point across that she wants the truth, not some half truth or a flat out lie

"I wasn't thinking is the point I'm trying to make to you" she said exasperated. She couldn't look at the woman in the eyes only she looked at her knees. She knew for a well fact that Alberta did not like people hurting themselves, not that she could help it. She couldn't help cut any more than she could help keep up her guise. It was just a part of her.

"I am telling you the truth as it is...I don't know what came over me, I just reacted...she ticked me off...I lost my temper...she tried to drown me so it was self defense" she hoped that would be enough. "As for punishment...I'd already been punished....but...if you think you have another punishment in mind I won't fight it"

Alberta just looks at the girl. She knows that fighting back was just in self defense though is was not the best way to defend herself. She sighs as she stands up. "Anya I want you to look at me. I'm not going to punish you unless I see fit but you must look at me for me to determine that"

Reluctantly the senior Novice looked up. She had seen Alberta time and again but looking at her eyes was another matter altogether. She felt, afraid of her not so much but of the situation at hand. She hoped to God that Alberta would not find out about her cutting fest. She had no intention of letting anyone know but if Alberta did find out she'd be dead.

"I'm sorry Guardian Petrov" that was all she could say what else could she say?

Alberta walks around the desk. She stops right in front of Anya and bends down, looking her streight in the eye. She doesnt look upset but courious to know the answer. She searches her eyes to see if she should punish the girl again.

The girl just looked at her and wondered what on earth she was looking for. She sighed as she asked it of her, better to know than not right? "W-What are you looking for...in my....eyes?" she asked as she held out her hand and gently put a finger on the older guardian's hand. She didn't know how else to react, she wasn't even aware she was doing this all the same. Closing her eyes she tried to give Alberta what she wanted without giving away the fact that she had hurt herself.

She already knew how furious Alberta would be, she had heard of a couple students trying that and getting caught it handed went well for them. Plus, Alberta could more than possibly hold her back another semester or even a whole year if she wished it and Anya wanted to graduate.

"I'm trying to see what you've been up to. What kind of punishment you've been given already. Or if what you tell me is a lie." She notices Anya's hand on her own but doesnt really care. In fact she kind of enjoys her hand being there

Anya looked at her. "I've been punished because....because oh please don't kill me, I punished myself..." she pulled up her sleeves, knowing she might be scolded. That scared her more than being scolded for it's own sake. The cuts were nearly healed but people would notice the initial wound, people in the Moroi world did and Dhampires were very observant people. Only if she could tell Alberta why on earth she was doing this that would be okay. She than shook her head telling herself that too many people knew already Aries, Adrian, Lissa and Celeste that was enough for now. She wanted her secret out to the world eventually but not this way.

Alberta just stares at the girl's wrists for a while, sort of in shock. She's also trying to think of why she would do this. It's not a normal reaction for a guardian. Most would be proud. Then something clicks. "wait your half sister tried to drown you?"

"Yes...she's either my half sister or step sister whichever one it is...she's a Moroi...and if it's what you're thinking that I'm a Moroi that I am not" she said as she shook her head emphatically. She could not let Alberta know what she was that would be a suicide mission. She trusted the woman with everything nearly but this was not the way to tell her. She wondered if someone in the school would pick up that the hair that she kept was an illusion too that her hair was truthfully black in all honesty, it was brown/red now but due to an illusion that she had been keeping for so long.

She doesnt believe that Anya's telling her the complete truth. "On who's side are you two related?" she asks, knowing if one way is answered that Anya is a Moroi. If answered another way she will drill on who the mother is

"I told you I don't even know if it's my half sister or step sister there could be a difference....i truly don't remember too much on my family history Alberta please....I don't know" she moaned as she tried to close her eyes and will herself to pass out but that was a power sadly she did not possess. She could cast illusion but she could not do it in it's advanced form yet. Projection was something different. It was one thing to make something appear something else but have that projection become a reality took a lot of strength and focus neither of which she possessed at this second.
